Two systems of power often nurture deception. In a dictatorship, fear twists people into liars, forced to betray the truth to survive, like prisoners flinching at the crack of the whip. In a democracy, the lies wear a smile. They’re dressed up as charm, ambition, and success, spoken not to protect life, but to seduce votes, climb ladders, and feed the endless hunger for wealth.
