The “Property Tax” Scam
A purchaser buys a home for $500,000.
The assessed value at time of purchase is $400,000.
Over a period of years, the home value appreciates.
The seller does not return to demand additional sales revenue.
BUT
The county repeatedly re-assesses the value and increases taxes on the appreciated values.
Property tax is an abuse and must be terminated.
